Post Graduate Diploma in Retail Management
Programme Objectives
  1. To impart the theoretical concepts necessary to understand the dynamics of Retail Management.
  2. To make them understand modem approach to decision making techniques, to suc­cessfully operate as practitioners of Retail Management.
  3. To impart basic analytical and research skills to formulate strat­egies in various industries and markets, as a practitioner.
  4. To equip with the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve the appropriate entry level in the industry and continue the lifelong learning development.

  2. Retail Professionals aspiring for better prospects in the industry.
  3. Working Professionals in any sector wanting to switch over to Retail.
Career Opportunities

After successful completion of the pro­gramme, the student will have exciting ca­reer opportunities in the respective areas at entry management level which follows the positions like Store Manager, Regional Store Operation Manager, Visual Merchan­diser, Brand Manager, Franchise Manager.

Inclusion of modules on luxury and life­style retailing makes this one year dynam­ic programme distinct and provides the students with greater knowledge of wider domains of  retailing.

Programme Structure

The Post-Graduate programme in Retail Management is a one year programme that has three levels. The course is taught on trimester basis. It constitutes a total of 120 credits spread across three trimesters of 40 credits each. The classes will be conducted for six days a week in each trimester, except in the last trimester where the student devotes majority time for his project work.
