PG Programme in Retail & Marketing (PGPRM*+ MBA**)
Programme Objectives
  1. To create a talent pool of trained students ready to indepen­dently handle independent & higher domains of retailing such as analysis and strategy making, merchandising, logistics, retail marketing etc.
  2. To develop comprehensive and advance knowledge of the Retail Business concepts.
  3. To develop holistic managers who synergize conventional and modern management and can adapt to changing business requirements.
  4. To imbibe a thorough understanding of the principles and techniques of Marketing.
Eligibility Criteria
  1. Graduate students wanting to be thorough professionals in Retail and Marketing.
  2. Students who wish to pursue a career in Sales & Marketing in areas like FMCG, Automobiles, Luxury, Beauty and Healthcare, Hospitality, Brand Management, Advertising & Promotions and Banking & Insurance etc.
  3. Sales and Marketing professionals aspiring for better prospects in the industry with specialization in Retail.
Career Opportunities
After successful completion of the programme, the student will have a wide range of opportunities in Retail and Marketing. After initial orientation, the student can grow to positions like Retail Operations Manager, Marketing Manager, Brand Man­ager, E-marketer, Retail Merchandiser, Visual Merchandising, Retail Buyer, Consumer Marketing Manager, Area Manager, Regional Manager, Franchise Manager, Retail Analyst and manager with luxury brands etc.
Programme Structure
This two year programme is action oriented programme that equips the students with right mix of knowledge and application based experiences. The programme helps the student to acquire professional skills in Retail Marketing. It also helps them understand research techniques and applications, marketing communications, retail branding etc. The programme is spread over four semesters in two years during which 240 credit courses are delivered.
